I am directed to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 9th of last month regarding the repairs required to be made to the live Guns Boats formerly lying in the Caviton River, and handed over to the use of this Colony.
As it appears both from your public and private communication, that the Boats in question are of no use in this Colony, His Excellency the Governor is of opinion they had better be sold; and you are accordingly authorized to advertise them for Sale by Public Auction, giving notice of the day of Sale, one week's
